INVITATION TO BID
The MORRISONVILLE C.U.S.D. NO. 1 will receive Bids until 2:00 PM local prevailing time on Tuesday the 15th day of March, 2022, at MORRISONVILLE C.U.S.D. NO. 1, 301 SCHOOL STREET, MORRISONVILLE, ILLINOIS 62546 for the following work:
BASE BID: Project is the renovation of two multi-user toilet rooms in Morrisonville Elementary School to include removal of all existing plumbing fixtures, toilet partitions, toilet accessories and flooring. New work includes provision and installation of new plumbing fixtures, plastic toilet partitions, stainless steel toilet accessories, porcelain paver tiles on floors and walls, painting and associated mechanical, electrical and plumbing work.
ALTERNATE BID #1: Project is the renovation of one single user toilet room in Morrisonville Elementary School to include removal of existing plumbing fixtures, toilet accessories and flooring. New work includes provision and installation of new plumbing fixtures, stainless steel toilet accessories, porcelain paver tiles on floors, painting and associated mechanical, electrical and plumbing work.
Contractor will be responsible for ordering equipment and all materials immediately after contract execution and shop drawing approvals, regardless of the first day available for construction. Contractor will be responsible for storing and insuring equipment and materials until the first day available for construction (approximately June 1, 2022). See Section 01 20 00 for additional information.
A Pre-bid Meeting will be held on Thursday, March 3rd, 2022, at 10:00 AM, prevailing time at MORRISONVILLE C.U.S.D. NO. 1, 301 SCHOOL STREET, MORRISONVILLE, ILLINOIS 62546.
Drawings and specifications may be obtained at the office of Hurst-Rosche, Inc., 1400 E. Tremont St., Hillsboro, Illinois, after February 21, 2022, by paying a non-refundable amount of $50.00 ($60.00 if mailed) for each set of drawings and specifications.
Drawings and specifications will be available for viewing on the internet at: www.hurst-rosche.com. The documents are being provided for reference purposes only. Bidders are encouraged to obtain a signed and sealed hard copy set of the bidding documents. At a minimum, bidders must obtain clean copies of bid forms from the offices of Hurst-Rosche, Inc. by paying a non-refundable amount of $10.00 to submit a bid for this project.
The Owner requires that construction cannot start until approximately June 1, 2022, and the project is to be substantially complete by July 29, 2022. Should the Contractor fail to complete the Work within such time, contractor agrees to compensate and will apply to the Owner for each and every day of such delay in completion of the Work beyond the Contract Time the sum of Five Hundred ($500.00) per day for Work not completed by the substantial completion date as liquidated damages.
The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or any part thereof, to waive any informality in bidding, and to accept bids deemed most favorable to the Owner.
