Court appearances
Published court appearances reflect the daily 10:00 a.m. criminal call and do not necessarily account for all felony proceedings heard that day. Fourth Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Douglas Jarman presided over the following cases which were heard on May 23, 2022:
Pre-trials for Jason W. Bland, 19CF283 (possession of meth less than five grams, theft of display merchandise less than $300, four other charges), 20CF65 (possession of meth less than five grams), 21CF11 (burglary) and 22CF20 (possession of meth less than five grams), continued until July 22, 2022.
Kimberly A. Carrell, 22CF5 (possession of meth less than five grams), had pre-trial. Plea date set for July 18, 2022.
Michael W. Emery, 22CF74 (two counts of aggravated battery of a peace officer), pled guilty at his pre-trial to an amended first count and the second count. He was sentenced to seven years in the Christian County Department of Corrections (with a 34-day credit of time already served) followed by one year of supervised release.
Levi J. Ginger, 19CF167 (possession of meth less than five grams), had negotiated plea rescheduled for June 27, 2022.
Tracy J. Kennedy, 20CF185 (possession of meth less than five grams) had status hearing. Pre-trial set for June 3, 2022.
Pre-trial for Justic O. Mahnke, 20CF236 (aggravated battery/great bodily harm, aggravated battery/use of a deadly weapon), continued with a notice to appear until June 21, 2022.
Pre-trial for Joseph D. Mays, 19CF268 (four counts of forgery/issue/delivery document), continued until July 1, 2022.
Pre-trial for Fred H. Rutherford Jr, 21CF319 (theft/unauthorized control between $500 and $10K), continued until July 22, 2022.
Fisher C. Sandburg, 22CF56 (arson of realty/personal property more than $150), presented a negotiated plea. Pleading guilty, he was sentenced to 120 days (with a 60-day credit of time already served) and 48 months probation, as well as 200 hours of community service. Restitution hearing set for June 27, 2022.
Pre-trial for Nathan M. Strayer, 18CF225 (aggravated battery of a pregnant/handicapped victim), continued until July 18, 2022.
Brandi S. Wiseman, 19CF189 (possession of meth less than five grams), had pre-trial. Plea date set for May 28, 2022 at 9 a.m.
