May 24:
Joseph M. Besson, age 36, of Taylorville was arrested on an active warrant.
Accidents
May 19:
Two vehicles were damaged following an accident at the intersection of N. Webster and Park St. in Taylorville at 4:19 p.m. According to the police report, a car driven by Melissa L. Hamilton, 45, of Taylorville, was northbound on Webster and struck a vehicle driven by Jake L. Watson, 18, of Nokomis, which was eastbound on Park. Hamilton told authorities she thought she had the green light, but realized she did not when she entered the intersection. Both vehicles sustained major damage and had to be towed from the scene. No one was injured. Hamilton was cited for failure to yield at a stop intersection.
May 21:
At 3:50 a.m., a car driven by Alissa L. Sherwood, 46, of Taylorville, was northbound on Illinois Route 29 approaching the intersection of N. Pershing Ave., when a deer ran into the passenger’s side of the vehicle. No one was injured and the car was driven from the scene.

Deputies arrested Alan Logsdon, 39, no address given, on a failure to appear warrant for possession of meth.
Alexis Givens, 41, no address given, was arrested by Taylorville police on a failure to appear warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

Megan Parker, 24, no address given, was arrested by Pana police on a failure to appear warrant for domestic battery.
Joseph Besson, 36, no address given, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant for possession of meth.

May 21:
Heather Lassard, no age or address given, was traveling in a vehicle westbound on 1900N Rd. in Prairietown Township when it skidded on the roadway, crossed over in the west ditch and came to rest in the field. No one was injured and the vehicle was driven from the scene.
May 22:
A vehicle driven by Ocieana Duncan, no age or address given, was traveling southbound on 1800 E Road in May Township when it crossed over the roadway, entered the ditch and struck a utility pole. The vehicle was towed from the scene and Duncan was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
A vehicle driven by Derek Moss, no age or address given, was traveling East on IL Route 104 in South Fork Township when it struck a deer in the roadway. There were no injuries and the vehicle was driven from the scene.
