Dear Editor,
President Biden – I completely agree with the opening lines of your speech last evening! That’s hard for me to admit, because I rarely find anything we agree upon!
“How many more innocent American lives must be taken before we say ‘enough’? Enough! … Enough. Enough. … Enough. … Enough. … Enough. Enough.. Enough! … My fellow Americans, enough! Enough. It’s time for each of us to do our part. It’s time to act.”
Yes you/we must act now! Secure the southern border immediately! Last year we lost nearly 107,000 Americans to drug overdoses, a vast majority involving fentanyl! You and your cabinet know that the main route of fentanyl into American is through our southern border!
Failing to act now, we are projected to lose nearly 150,000 Americans this year due to drug overdoses! Can you live with that on your conscience? I couldn’t! I served as a leader in OIF, and I took my job serious – keeping our warriors on mission and safe in a very dangerous situation! During my year long deployment, I didn’t lose anyone! However I lost a lot of sleep, didn’t go home every weekend, and stayed in the game! I ask you to take your job serious, stay in the White House, stay in the game and keep Americans safe!
Respectfully,
Eric Murray
