(TAYLORVILLE) — This Saturday, June 25, 2022, is the last Saturday voters in Christian County can take advantage of weekend early voting. County Clerk Jacque Willison’s office will be open from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on the second floor of the Courthouse in Taylorville.
The Consolidated Primary Election in Illinois is Tuesday, June 28, 2022. Polls are open from 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on that day.
Wilson said so far, 388 voters have taken advantage of in-person early voting. There have been 44 mail-in ballots received. She said the total is ahead of early voting in the prior election.
The early voting period ends on Monday, June 27, 2022 but grace period registration/voting goes on through June 28.
Today, Thursday, is the final day to request a mail-in ballot. They can be applied for on line at the clerk’s website.
Vote by mail ballots must be postmarked no later than the election day, June 28. The mail has until July 12, 2022 to be delivered to the clerk’s office to be counted. Those wishing to hand deliver their ballots must be in the return envelope and brought to the clerk’s office.
