TAYLORVILLE — The Taylorville Municipal Band will be performing Monday evening, July 4 at the Lake Taylorville Marina at 7:00 PM prior to the fireworks display. Come out and enjoy a concert of many patriotic selections and other fun and exciting band works such as: Amber Waves of Grain by James Curnow; God Bless America by Irving Berlin; Instant Concert by Harold Walters; American Flourish by Robert W. Smith; Americans We by Henry Fillmore; Overture for Winds by Charles Carter; National Emblem by E.E. Bagley; God Bless the U.S.A. by Lee Greenwood (featuring Sandy and Lexie Hooper); Armed Forces Salute arranged by Bob Lowden; The Stars and Stripes Forever by John Philip Sousa and America The Beautiful arranged by Carmen Dragon.
The Municipal Band will next be performing on Wednesday evening, July 6 at 7:00 PM at the Christian County Historical Society.
