Robbie Sue May, 82, of Jacksonville, died Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Heritage Health in Jacksonville.?? She was born November 11, 1939, in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee, the daughter of Harley Edwin and Ruby Odell Price Jenkins. She married F. Curry May on May 1, 1994, in Jacksonville, and he survives.

Sue is also survived by two children, Ricky James Manuel of Florissant, Missouri, and Debra Lynn (Michael) Fulcher of Kincaid; two grandchildren, Curtis James (Lindsey) Dixon of Taylorville and Kelsey Michelle (Nick) Harlow of Bulpitt; one great-grandchild, Cormac Dixon; two sisters, Edith Cobane and Peggy Ann (Wayne, Sr.) Prose, both of Taylorville, two brothers, Ralph Lee (Karen) Jenkins of Harrison, Arkansas, and Stephen Lyle (Linda) Jenkins of Chatham; and numerous nieces and nephews.?? She was preceded in death by one sister, Patsy Faye Morehead, and four brothers, Ronald Dean Jenkins, Roger Dale Jenkins, Stanley Lynn Jenkins, and Eddie Gene Jenkins.

Sue had previously worked at JC Penney in Taylorville and Jacksonville and as a dental assistant in Jacksonville. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Jacksonville and enjoyed singing in the choir. She also enjoyed gardening, dancing, and was always willing to help others.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2022, at Faith Lutheran Church in Jacksonville. The family will meet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Private interment will be at a later date. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Alzheimer’s Association, or Union Baptist Cemetery at Pisgah.
