Aug. 3:
Kristin D. House, 29, Springfield, was arrested for theft.
Accidents
July 30:
Two cars were damaged in an accident at Illinois Routes 29 and 104 at 3:09 p.m. According to the police report, a vehicle driven by Nathan E. Pinnell, 39, of Morrisonville, was northbound on Route 29, making a left turn on to Illinois Route 104. The Pinnell vehicle struck a southbound car on Route 29, driven by Rhonda L. Walters, 54, of Taylorville. Both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene and no one was injured. Pinnell was ticketed for failure to yield while turning left.
At 10:53 p.m., a car driven by Alexandra C. Albury, 18, of Taylorville, struck the rear of a car driven by Latarsha W. Banks, 49, of Springfield. Both cars were westbound on E. Park St. When the Banks auto reached the intersection with N. Pershing and came to a stop for a temporary traffic control device, the Albury car continued and struck the passenger side of the rear bumper. There were no injuries reported and moderate damage was done to each vehicle.

Robert Abberley, 52, Pana was arrested by Pana police on a failure to appear warrant for criminal damage to property.
Accidents
July 29:
A vehicle driven by Ian Stoutenborough, no age or address given, was traveling on Illinois Route 48 in Stonington when an unknown oncoming vehicle veered into his lane. The mirror of the vehicle struck Stoutenborough’s auto door on the driver side. The vehicle continued in the opposite direction, never stopping. No injuries were reported.
