Madeline Marie DiPlotti, 81, of Lakeland, Fla., passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, after a 9-month battle with liver cancer, surrounded by faith with family by her side.
Madeline was a true lover of life; a beacon of light that guided her lifelong passion of Family, Faith, and Friendship.
Madeline was a loving wife to Robert (Bob) DiPlotti for 60 years. She was an exceptional mother to two sons and two daughters. A beloved Grammie to eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren, and a great friend to so many others.
While actively raising her four children as Bob traveled for work, moving to four cities in sixteen years, she finally earned her Bachelor’s Degree with honors! Madeline taught second grade in the same classroom for twenty years at Lincoln Elementary in St Charles, Ill. It was not just a job; it was her vocation and a blessing to all the children she impacted, many of whom kept in touch with her over the years.
Madeline was kind, witty, selfless, and tough at the same time. She battled many health issues, never complained, and was always there to lend an ear and offer words of encouragement for people in need. She was the voice of reason, a loyal servant, giver, avid reader, volunteer, and all-around beautiful lady. She will be fondly remembered for her Faith, her strength and determination, resiliency, her sweet smile, and those hugs that would warm you from the inside out. Madeline will never be forgotten, but forever remembered and missed by all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.
