Whalen drops 27 in win

RAYMOND — The Lincolnwoodboysbasketball team hosted the Hillsboro Hilltoppers on Tuesday, Dec. 6. The Woodshed played witness to this nail biter of a match which ended with the Lancers on top, 46-43.

Senior Braden Whalen shot 11/18, snagged 3 rebounds and put up 27 in the non-conference matchup. He shot 50% (4-8) at the free throw line, made one three-pointer and stole the ball 4 times.

Jared Klein shot 3/5 earning him 7 points. He also cleaned up on the defense/rebounding side of the ball finishing with 2 steals and grabbing 6 boards total. Jonah Elvidge and Zake Guzman rounded out the scoring for the Lancers combining for 10 points.

Through the four quarter game Lincolnwood shot a field goal percentage of 45% (16/35), 3-point percentage of 27% (3/11), and 11/24 free throw (45%).

The Lancers improve to an even 3-3 and will stay home for their next game against the Timberwolves. The Lincolnwood vs. Okaw Valley matchup will be played out this Friday, Dec. 9.
