Illinois Soybean Association At-Large Director position

PUBLIC NOTICE

 

Pursuant to the Marketing Program for Illinois soybeans, notice is hereby given that applications to become a candidate for At-Large Director representing the Illinois Soybean Board (ISB) are available from the Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) office.

 

Two at-large director positions will expire on July 31, 2023. Individuals will be nominated by the majority of the Illinois Soybean Board sitting in a quorum at a meeting to be determined. Thereafter, two of the nominated individuals will be elected by a majority of soybean producers in attendance at the Illinois Soybean Board Meeting in July 2023.

 

Board members serve a term of three years and are eligible for up to three consecutive terms.

 

Any interested producer must notify the Board of their desire to become a candidate for an at-large position by sending a letter of interest to Illinois Soybean Association, Attn: Director of Operations, 1108 Trinity Lane, Bloomington, IL 61704. This letter of interest must be postmarked no later than Friday, February 24, 2023.  Letters of interest may also be sent via email to dustin.scott@ilsoy.org. The same deadline applies.

 

Once intent is expressed, candidates will be emailed a link to an online application.  Online applications must be completed and submitted electronically no later than Friday, March 10, 2023. There is no write-in provision for At-Large director elections.

 

Eligibility to serve requires each candidate be an Illinois resident of legal voting age that contributes to the soybean checkoff. If you have questions, please contact Dustin Scott, Director of Operations, at 309-846-3673.
