PANA — The Pana Panthers hosted Windsor/Stewardson Stasburg boys basketball team on Tuesday, Jan. 31. The non-conference match came down to the wire with Pana edging out the Hatchets, 41-40 the final.

Pana senior Devon Peebles continues his 2022-’23 dominance in the scoring department as he had 4 three-pointers on his way to a 25 point performance. Max Lynch (7) and Ace Armstrong (5) both had strong games. The two seniors came together to score 12 points in the contest. Seniors Parker Ruot and Brant Bowker both notched 2 points which came from inside the arch.

The game was a back and forth roller coaster of emotions with both teams swapping momentum between quarters. First it was Windsor, then Pana, back to Winsdsor and finally Pana.

In the fourth quarter, the Panthers were down by as many as 6 points, but Pana’s defense clamped down on the visitors and held them scoreless for over 5 minutes in the fourth quarter to get the win.
