Arrests
Mar. 7:
Landon Moore, 19, Auburn, was arrested by deputies on an active failure to appear in court warrant for possession of meth.
Mar. 8:
Monique Romans, 25, Taylorville, was arrested by deputies for DUI.
Accidents
Mar. 2:
A vehicle driven by David Spengler, no age or address given, was pulling a trailer traveling west on 1900N Rd. The vehicle left the roadway on the south side of the road hitting a ditch. After hitting the ditch, the tractor and trailer overturned on its passenger side. The vehicle was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.
Mar. 3:
Vehicles driven by Gary Mills and Thomas Vail, no ages or addresses given, were involved in a traffic crash in Taylorville. The Mills vehicle was backing out of a driveway in the 400 block of S. Walnut. The Vail vehicle was stopped in traffic in the 400 block of S. Walnut, facing north. Mills driver side mirror came into contact with Vails rear passenger taillight. No damage was done to Mills vehicle. Vails vehicle sustained minor damage. There were no injuries and the vehicles were driven from the scene.
Mar. 4:
A vehicle driven by Donna Requarth, no age or address given, was eastbound on Illinois Route 48 near 850E Road. The vehicle turned on a field road and drove down the field road, eventually sliding into a ditch with water in it. The driver said she thought she turned on a roadway. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed from the scene at a later date due to impassible field road conditions.
