Taylorville, Springfield Lutheran soccer ends in tie

SPRINGFIELD —The Taylorville girls soccer team traveled to our state capital to challenge Springfield Lutheran on Wednesday, March 15. The first half of play was the busiest the game would get. Lutheran struck first on a header with 17:00 to go before half-time. It was Taylorville’s Lorena Angel tying things up at one goal a piece with 6 minutes left in the half.

THS goalkeeper Zettie Colbrook notched 9 saves in the contest. Taylorville ties Springfield Lutheran 1-1.

Next up, the Tornadoes will host the Purple and Gold scrimmage (weather permitting) at the Taylorville High School tonight at 6:00 p.m.
