Arrests
Mar. 24:
Joshua Bland, 47, Pana, was arrested by deputies on an active warrant for burglary.
Mar. 25:
Billy Brown, 42, Kincaid, was arrested by deputies on an active failure to appear in court warrant for possession of meth.
Accidents

Mar. 15:
Three vehicles were involved in an accident, being driven by Laine Moses, Phillip Albert and James Curtin, no age or address given. The Moses vehicle was traveling westbound on 1550N Road when it crossed into the oncoming lane and sideswiped the Albert vehicle. Albert was pulling a trailer, causing damage to both. Albert came to a stop shortly after Moses sideswiped it. He lost control of the vehicle and it began skidding sideways in the roadway. The Curtin vehicle was traveling eastbound on 1550N and the Moses vehicle struck Curtin’s on the passenger side. Both came to a stop after the collision. Albert’s vehicle had a significant amount of damage, but was able to drive away from the scene. Moses’ and Curtin’s vehicles were towed. Moses was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Curtin refused treatment on scene and stated that he would take himself to the hospital for his injuries.
Mar. 17:
A vehicle driven by Jared Griffin, no age or address given, was eastbound on County Highway 6 in Assumption Township. The driver went around the curve at 1200N and 2300E and continued east onto 1200N (County Highway 6). The vehicle left the roadway on the south side of the road just east of the curve. When the vehicle left the road, it went down the ditch and came to rest in the waterway. The front end of the vehicle was submerged in water and had to be towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.
Mar. 21:
A vehicle driven by Mitchell Jones, no age or address given, was innvoled in an accident at the intersection of 700E and 1350N Road. After deputies arrived on the scene, it was found Jones was going south on 700E, approaching a T-intersection with 1350N. Jones attempted to turn the vehicle east (left) onto 1350N from 700E but was traveling too fast to complete the turn. It left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The vehicle was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.
Mar. 28:
A vehicle driven by Theresa Mayes, no age or address given, was traveling northbound on Township Road 900E, approximately 1/10 of a mile south of Township Road 1900N, when a deer entered the roadway. She was unable to avoid striking the animal. The vehicle received front end damage and was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.
