Williamsville tops Pana
(PANA) — The bats were silent for the Pana Panthers baseball team on Tuesday night as they could only muster one hit in a 10-0 loss to Williamsville at Panthers Field. Senior Brant Bowker got the lone hit.
The Bullets scored in every inning but the fifth and had enough runs scored by then to call the game after five by the 10- run rule.
Parker Moore took the loss for Pana after pitching 3 innings, giving up 7 hits, 7 earned runs, 5 walks and 3 strike outs. Landon Meadows came in to face 2 batters striking out one while the other grounded out. Dane Epley relieved in the 4th inning. He gave up one hit, 3 runs, 4 walks and 2 strike outs. Ryan Karback came in to face the last batter forcing a ground out in one pitch.
The Panthers, 1-3 this season, will be back at home Thursday afternoon facing Hillsboro in a non- conference game at 4:30 p.m.
