Pana’s Max Lynch commits to Judson University

(PANA) — Record-setting quarterback Max Lynch of the Pana Panthers has signed a National Letter of Intent to play college football at Judson University in Elgin. He will play quarterback.

The Eagles are a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletes and the National Christian College Athletic Association. They play in the Chicagoland Athletic Conference, a 14-team conference with schools in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Iowa.

Lynch, who set Pana High School football records for passing yardage and rushing yardage his junior and senior years, said he like the atmosphere at the school, calling it a “brotherhood.”

The Judson football program will play its third season come the fall. They have a new head coach, Quintin Demps, a former NFL safety and return specialist who played with several teams including the Chicago Bears, who was hired this spring.

Lynch signed his letter on Friday in the Pana High School library. He is flanked by his parents, Rebekah Lynch and Chris Lynch.
