Published Court appearances reflect the daily 10:00 a.m. criminal call and do not necessarily account for all felony proceedings heard that day. Christian County Resident Judge Paisley from the fourth Judicial Circuit presided over the following cases, which were heard May 23, 2023.
Kevin M. Carrell, 23CF77. (Violation of the sex offender registry.) The preliminary hearing was held today and the defendant entered a plea of not guilty. The final pre-trial will be on July 25, 2023 and Jury trial is scheduled for August 7, 2023.
Joshua L. Bland, 23CF4, 22CF266. (Possession of meth under five grams; Theft with intent to control property worth less than $500 with a prior history of similar circumstance; burglary.) A petition to modify bond was presented today. Bond was set at $100,000. The problem solving court status hearing is scheduled for June 23, 2023.
Steven M. Frazier, 20CF98. (Aggravated battery of a victim over sixty; domestic battery with a prior history of similar circumstance.) Hearing on a probation violation was continued to June 30, 2023.
Andrew L. Calvert, 21CF186, 22CF127. (Possession of less than five grams of meth; causing an accident, injury, or death.) Pre-Trial was forwarded to June 27, 2023.
Justin L. Pickrell, 22CF114. (Receive possess or sell a stolen vehicle; aggravated fleeing from the police while going twenty-one miles over the speed limit; operating an uninsured motor vehicle; unlicensed.) The Plea agreement was forwarded to June 30, 2023.
Charles D. Peterson, 19CF79, 21CF320, 21CF157. (Residential burglary; three counts burglary.)A status update was provided and the next hearing is on June 30, 2023.
Drakeem L. Manning, 23CF83. (Two counts of aggravated battery to a police officer; criminal damage to property in an amount between $500 to $10k.) The preliminary hearing was held today and the defendant pleas not guilty, A bond hearing will be held on May 26, 2023.
