Published Court appearances reflect the daily 10:00 a.m. criminal call and do not necessarily account for all felony proceedings heard that day. Christian County Resident Judge Paisley from the fourth Judicial Circuit presided over the following cases, which were heard May 30, 2023.
Dana N. Melvin, 23CF25. (Unlawful possession or use of a credit or debit card.) A motion to reduce bond to $5,000 was heard and approved. The preliminary hearing will be held on June 12, 2023.
Matthew Z. Cunningham, 19CF345. (Possession of meth in an amount under five grams.) Pre-trial was forwarded to a possible plea agreement on July 11, 2023.
Ashley M. Layton, 21CF283, 23CF26. (Two counts for theft of display merchandise in an amount under $300 with a previous conviction.) The preliminary hearing was held today finding probable cause for the charges. The defendant pleas not guilty and the pre-trial will be held on July 17, 2023.
Roy Timmes, 23CF92. (Felony possession of a weapon.) Probable cause for the charges were found during the preliminary hearing today. The defendant pleas not guilty and the next hearing will be a final pre-trial July 25, 2023. Jury trial has been scheduled for August 7, 2023 at 8:30 a.m.
Jason D. Lindsey, 22CF185. (Theft with intent to steal an amount ranging between $500 to $10k worth of property.) Pre-trial has been forwarded to August 21, 2023.
James B. Middleton, 22CF212. (Aggravated battery of a peace officer.) Pre-trial has been continued to August 21, 2023.
Charles E. Tucker, 21CF307. (Possession of 500 to 2,000 grams of cannabis; possession of five or less grams of meth.) The final pre-trial has been scheduled for Oct 24, 2023 and the jury trial is set for November 6, 2023 8:30 a.m.
