ST. LOUIS — The 2023 Edinburg Wildcats had a season filled with growth, learning and camaraderie. They put an exclamation point on the season this past weekend when they faced off against Warrensburg-Latham at Busch Stadium on Sunday, May 28. Though the Wildcats fell to the Cardinals, 16-2 the final, the memory these athletes have of playing on a Major League field won’t soon fade.
“It was a dream come true,” Edinburg Head Coach Troy Vilayhong stated. “For players and community of Edinburg and Kincaid.”
The Wildcats finished their 2023 season with a 4-27 regular season record but it’s a step in the right direction from just a season ago. First year Head Coach Vilayhong and the EHS boys will look to make their foundation even stronger next season.
