(PANA) — Pana Elks Lodge 1261 is sponsoring its third annual Elks Cares Summer Bash on Saturday, June 10. The event will be held at the Pana Tri-County fairgrounds from 2:00 p.m. until midnight.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Lodge’s “Elks Cares” Fund. The fund helps people who are going through difficult times financially and gives assistance to a family for things such as fuel and food.
“Sometimes, people are facing a family health issue where someone is hospitalized in an out of town hospital,” Pana Elks Exalted Ruler Jackie Epley said. “Elks Cares will provide a gas card or maybe a food gift certificate to help somewhat relieve their burden.”
Saturday’s activities begins with a bags tournament at 3:00 p.m. Registration starts at 2:00 in the beer tent at the fairgrounds. Entry fee is $10 for the blind draw tournament. First place wins $400 and second place, $200.
Music will be provided by live bands, starting with “Population Zero” at 3:00 p.m. and “8-Up” performing from 8:00 p.m. until midnight.
There will be drawings and raffles for various prizes, including a patriotic bags game set. Food will also be available by Elks members and refreshments can be purchased.
There is a $10 donation for the event.
