(TAYLORVILLE) — Michael A. Assalley today announced his candidacy for Christian County Coroner. Assalley is seeking the Republican nomination for this office in the Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, Mar. 19, 2024.
“I’m excited to announce my candidacy for Christian County Coroner,” said Mike. “It has been a privilege to serve Christian County families for many years as a funeral director, deputy coroner, and community volunteer. I know that I have the experience it will take to serve as our next Coroner.” Assalley has already completed his 40 hours of required coroner’s training, which the State of Illinois mandates for all elected coroners.
“As Coroner, I will bring a professionalism to the office that matches the serious nature of the office’s duties,” Assalley continued.
“Additionally, I take seriously my responsibility to be a strong steward of your taxpayer dollars. As my track record has shown, I will be a reliable and accountable Coroner.”
Mike Assalley has served as a Christian County Deputy Coroner for the past year. Mike is the owner of Assalley Funeral Homes in Taylorville, Morrisonville, Greenville, Panama, and Sorento.
