TAYLORVILLE — The Christian County YMCA recently hosted an estate planning seminar on Monday, Oct. 16. David Edwards, Estate Planning and Elder Law Attorney was the guest speaker. David shared important information on designating beneficiaries, how to organize and design a plan for your estate, keep wills and trusts updated, designating POA’s, charitable giving and making a difference, how to direct IRA’s and appreciated stock, an organizing real estate deeds, titles, and life insurance plans, among others.
The YMCAs Endowment Committee developed, organized, and offered the first ever estate planning seminar. The committee indicated that in the future there will be other educational opportunities for active older adults to help them prepare their family for the future.
