TAYLORVILLE — The Retired Teachers of Christian County held their fall meeting on October 19, 2023 at the Ministry Center in the Taylorville First United Methodist Church.  Prior to the business meeting, Heather Calcara from the Illinois Attorney General’s Office gave a presentation on consumer protection regarding scams, fraud, and identity theft.  Chief Deputy Jim Baker also spoke on local scams and encouraged members and all Christian County residents to download the new Christian County Sheriff App to stay current on area information.  The app can be found by searching Christian County Sheriff IL on the app store of your mobile device.
