DMCC military Christmas packages to be sent Dec. 2

(TAYLORVILLE) — Davis Memorial Christian Church (DMCC), Taylorville, will be mailing packages to deployed service members on Saturday, Dec. 2, for Christmas. If you know of someone who is actively deployed who would like to receive a package, please call the church office (217-824-8181) with their name and address.

In addition, they are also accepting monetary donations for the program. There is no need to bring in personal items, as the specific items needed will be purchased by the committee in charge of the program. Monetary donations will be used to purchase items for military currently deployed, as well as Veterans staying at Illinois Veterans Homes.

The deadline to receive names and donations will be Nov. 30, 2023. Packages will need to be mailed no later than Dec. 2, 2023 in order to be received in time for the holiday.
