Published Court appearances reflect the daily 10:00 a.m. criminal call and do not necessarily account for all felony proceedings heard that day. Christian County Resident Judge Paisley from the fourth Judicial Circuit presided over the following cases, which were heard October 30, 2023.
Ashley N. Bain, 23CF159. (Delivery of meth in an amount between fifteen to 100 grams.) The previously scheduled trial dates have been vacated and pre-trial is continued to December 21, 2023.
Jason L. Leach, 23CF24. (Manufacturing a false document/ unfit to stand trial .) A status hearing on mental fitness. Lack of compliance for information with the Department of Hunan Services as stalled proceedings and another status hearing was scheduled for November 9, 2023.
Lawrence W. Moore, 20CF172. (Aggravated domestic battery involving a strangle/ served 103 days in jail with credit for 103 days, two yeas of probation; domestic battery causing harm with one or more previous convictions/ dismissed by motion of the state; interference with a report of domestic violence/ dismiss by motion of the state.) There was a pre-trial on a petition to revoke probation. A status update was provided and another status update will be heard on January 26, 2024.
Kyle Sheley, 23CF125. (Theft with intent to control property worth between $500 to 10k.) The defendant waved their right to a preliminary hearing and pre-trial was scheduled for January 5, 2024.
Brent A. Woodall 23CF163. (Unlawful restraint; two counts of domestic battery making physical contact; criminal sexual assault without consent.) There was a status update on pre-trial proceedings and final pre-trial was set for November 21, 2023 and the jury trial will be on December 4, 2023.
Brenden T. Barger, 22CF238. (Possession of five or less grams of meth.) The defendant was released from custody with conditions to await pre-trail on January 16, 2024.
Elizabeth B. Vincent, 23CF160. (Two counts for writing bad checks to obtain $150 worth of property.) Today was a first appearance and probable cause was found and the public defender was appointed. The preliminary hearing was scheduled for December 21, 2023.
