Jerry Riggs, 39, Taylorville, was arrested by Assumption police for domestic battery.
Accidents
Nov. 1:
A driver was airlifted to the hospital after a wreck on Illinois Route 48 in Christian County.
It happened on IL Route 48 north of North Street at 10:35 p.m. Wednesday.
Illinois State Police troopers said a Ford Mustang was traveling southwest on IL-48 and a semi was going northeast on IL-48.
Troopers said that for an unknown reason, the Ford crossed the center lane and hit the semi head-on.
The driver of the Ford was airlifted to the hospital.
The driver of the semi was not hurt.
IL-48 was shut down while officers investigated until approximately 6:30 a.m. on Thursday.
