The guest speakers will be Delmar Buske, who is the American Legion Department of Illinois Commander, with Dean Ray providing closing comments
After the American Legion ceremony, everyone is invited to attend the Lake Taylorville Veterans Point Memorial at 1 p.m., where the Smalltown Taylorville group will be dedicating a bench for Jeff and Phyllis Wilson to honor them for all their efforts to support the Memorial, as well as recognize all Veterans for their service.
Veteran’s Day 2023 will conclude at the VFW Post 4495 with music, guest speakers, and plenty of food. The Taylorville Moose Lodge will also provide a pork chop dinner for $10 per person.
