Accidents
Oct. 31:
A vehicle driven by Samantha Walter, no age or address reported, was eastbound on Illinois Route 16, just east of Pana, when a deer ran into the roadway and was unable to avoid striking it. The vehicle was towed due to damage in the crash. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.
Nov. 1:
A vehicle driven by Shiana Bailey, no age or address reported, was eastbound on 1700N Road at approximately 1500E Road when it approached a slight right turn. The vehicle began to spinout and enter the ditch north of 1700N Road. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Nov. 2:
A vehicle driven by Robert Aten, no age or address reported, was eastbound on Illinois Route 16 and struck a deer in the roadway. The vehicle came to a stop on the south side of Route 16. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
A vehicle driven by Thomas May, no age or address reported, was traveling on Route 48 in Taylorville and hit a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
Nov. 4:
A vehicle driven by Russel Ishmael, no age or address reported, was southbound on 1800E at approximately 450N when it struck a deer. The vehicle was able to be driven from the scene. No injuries were reported.

Michael T. Morrissey, 34, Stonington, was arrested for retail theft.
Nov. 5:
Dylan R. Blades, 27, Edinburg, was arrested for residential burglary.
Nov. 6:
Michael S. Gobble, 36, Taylorville, was arrested on an active warrant.
