(TAYLORVILLE) —Student Council members from Taylorville Junior High School hold a U.S Navy service flag for veterans who served in the Navy during their Heroes Walk at the annual Veterans Day breakfast held this morning. One of the organizers of the event, Lynn Durham, said the breakfast had one of its biggest turnouts this year with roughly 100 in attendance. She added the school had raised about $1,300 for the Field of Flags charity fund, which supports disabled veterans and sends American flags to participating schools and organizations.
