(PANA) — A celebration of Veteran’s Day will be held in Kitchell Park in Pana at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11. It is sponsored by Pana VFW Post 4431 and Kerr-Mize American Legion Post 168.

Activities will include the presentation of the colors and an opening prayer and benediction.

Guest speaker is Tom Latonis, editor of the Taylorville Breeze-Courier.

There will be the ceremonial laying of wreathes in front of the World War I memorial in the park.

A 21-gun salute will be fired along with the playing of “Taps.”

The public is invited to attend.
