Published Court appearances reflect the daily 10:00 a.m. criminal call and do not necessarily account for all felony proceedings heard that day. Christian County Resident Judge Paisley from the fourth Judicial Circuit presided over the following cases, which were heard November 16, 2023.
Derrick L. Covington, 22CF66. (aggravated driving while going twenty-one miles over the speed limit/ served 168 days in jail with credit for 84 and 30 days of home confinement, serving eighteen months of probation; Driving on a suspended license/ dismissed by motion of the state.) The defendant appeared by notice for a petition to revoke hearing. The petition to revoke hearing has been rescheduled for January 18, 2024.
James G. Tirpak, Jr. 22CF80. (Criminal sexual assault of a family member who is under the age of eighteen.) Pre-trial was continued to January 11, 2024.
Robert A. Stivers, 16CF42. (Aggravated battery of a victim thirteen years of age or younger causing a permanent disability/ guilty, merged with other offense; two counts of murder with a strong probability that killing or injuring the victim was known/ one count dismissed by the state, Serving fifty years in the department of corrections and has credit for 769 days served.) There was a status hearing on a petition and matters have been extended to January 18, 2024.
Jahquel D. Pearsall, 23CF18. (Burglary/ charge amended or reduced; burglary without causing damage.) Pre-trial has been continued to December 21, 2023
Jeremy T. Stark, 22CF201. (Two counts for aggravated battery in a public place; criminal damage in an amount ranging between $10K-$100k.) A status hearing on a treatment court referral has been scheduled for December 21, 2023.
