TAYLORVILLE – Penny Clark, housekeeping aide with Environmental Services, at Taylorville Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Month for October.
Clark’s pleasant attitude and willingness to always pitch in make an important difference not just for her co-workers, but also for patients and their families. Her nominator described a situation where an elderly visitor was having difficulty using his cellphone to contact family about the patient, his wife.
“Penny assisted him and took the required, lengthy time it took to explain and guide this gentleman through the steps needed to complete his call,” wrote the nominator. “Even though repeated explanations were required, Penny showed great compassion to this anxious elderly visitor in need.”
Clark has worked for Taylorville Memorial Hospital since 2022.
