Published Court appearances reflect the daily 10:00 a.m. criminal call and do not necessarily account for all felony proceedings heard that day. Christian County Resident Judge Paisley from the fourth Judicial Circuit presided over the following cases, which were heard November 21, 2023.
Eric J. Merritt, 23CF141. (Aggravated fleeing from the police while going twenty-one miles over the speed limit.) The defense is still waiting for discovery and the next pre-trial will be for December 1, 2023.
Kyle T. Adler, 23CF95. (Aggravated battery of a peace officer; domestic battery causing bodily harm.) The defense made a motion for a furlough to treatment with monitored release. The motions will be readdress on December 8, 2023.
Austin L. Mayes, 21CF252, 22CF228, 23CF5. (Two counts for aggravated battery of a peace officer; attempt to disarm a peace officer or corrections employee/ served 214 days in jail with credit for 107, forty-eight months of probation; home invasion causing an injury; two counts of domestic battery and making contact with two previous convictions/ unfit to stand trial.) A fitness hearing will be on Nov. 28, 2023.
Brittany L. Kuhns. 23CF145. (Aggravated fleeing going twenty-one miles over the speed limit; driving while under the influence; failure to obey a stop sign; transport or carry open alcohol as a driver.) The appearance with council was held today and the preliminary hearing was scheduled for January 12, 2023 at 9 a.m.
James C. Williams 20CF73. (Residential arson.) The negotiated pleas has been continued to December 1, 2023.
Patricia K. Miller, 23CF129 (Aggravated battery of a peace officer.) The negotiated plea hearing was scheduled for February 22, 2024.
Nicholas L. Cox, 19CF305. (Aggravated fleeing from the police while going twenty-one miles over the speed limit/ guilty, served 172 days in jail with credit for 86 days; resisting a peace officer, corrections employee, or firefighter/ dismissed by motion of the state.) there was a status hearing on the case and an in-person hearing was scheduled for January 19, 2024. at 11 a.m.
Tyler J. Sigretto, 20CF136 (Possession of five or less grams of meth/ served ten days in jail with credit for five, two years of probation.) The petition to revoke probation was withdrawn by the state for completing treatment and probation is completed.
Thomas j. Sipes. 22CF33. (Burglary.) There was a petition to revoke probation pretrial today. The next hearing will be on Nov. 27, 2023.
Lucas A. Fenton, 23CF71. (Delivering between fifteen to 100 grams of meth.) Pre-trial has been continued to December 12, 2023.
