(PANA) — Pana Pride light display crews has been testing lights in anticipation of Saturday’s, Dec. 2, annual “A December to Remember” event in Kitchell Park. Over 200 displays are set up and ready with the Caroling Trees light show just left of the main entrance into the park.
Visitors are asked to either view the light show upon entering the park with parking available on the field, there will be signs. Another option is to drive through the displays and re-enter to view the light show. Traffic will be one way only, exiting the park will be at the Maple street.
A fun-filled day is planned with the Pana Market being held at Pana High School, 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Many vendors are available, including Mary Kay and Scentsy; homemade crafts, and local favorite shops. Lunch will also be available at the high school.
In the afternoon, family activities including the first-ever Gingerbread House Building contest will be held. There are several divisions which include grade school, junior high school, high school, business and family.Judging takes place at 3:00 p.m. For more information, go to: A December to Remember Facebook page.
Santa will be coming at 4:00 p.m. and will be available for visitors in the Santa house.
Lighting of the displays is at 5:00 p.m. with Pana Mayor Nathan Pastor flipping the switch.
