TAYLORVILLE — On Monday, Nov. 27, the Taylorville Police Department executed a search warrant at an apartment complex on Pauline Street.
Arrested were Michael T. Morrissey, 34, Taylorville, for unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. TPD recovered several shotgun shells. Morrissey is facing other serious charges.
On Wednesday, Nov. 29, the community action team conducted a search warrant on the 500 block of West Second Street and arrested Amber Fixsal, 42, Taylorville, for possession of methamphetamine and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.
Another suspect, Damery L. Binkley, 41, Taylorville, is currently at large. Police did observe him earlier, but lost sight of him. Binkley will be charged with the delivery of methamphetamine, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and other pending charges.
The residence is unsuitable for occupancy and a nuisance to the block. TPD and the city are working to seize the property and tear it down.
