Christian County Coal Mine Museum grand reopening
1324 East Park Taylorville
The Christian County Coal Mine Museum will hold it’s grand reopening at the new location: 1324 East Park Taylorville, Illinois. The reopening will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. New features include the Coal Miners Wall of Fame, a simulated underground mine tour, over 300 framed mining pictures, hundreds of items over 100 years old, and a detailed Mine Wars exhibit. The public is welcome to attend. Admission is free, though donations are appreciated.
