Taylorville to host community blood drive with ImpactLife. The blood drive will be held at Davis Memorial Christian Church-Fellowship Hall. Appointments will be required. Twilight line up

The annual Christmas Twilight Parade in Taylorville is set for Saturday, December 3rd beginning at 5 p.m. on the Taylorville Square. Lineup will be at the corner of Madison and Main Cross at 4:30 p.m. This year’s parade marshals are the 40 MPH Car Club. US Bank will be serving complimentary hot chocolate in front of the lobby. Santa, Mrs. Claus and the Grinch will arrive as the last entry in the parade. Children will be able to leave a letter for Santa. Christmas Bake-off

The manners park dinning hall will host a Christmas Bake-off. Contestants will drop off their baked goods between 10 a.m. and noon. The judging will be at 1 p.m. The competition categories are; cookies; fudge; non-yeast bread; divinity; candy. The twice-monthly bereavement support group has resumed meetings at Taylorville Memorial Hospital. These meetings provide a safe space for adults to express feelings of grief and mourning over the death of a loved one. Participants may discuss and share thoughts and emotions surrounding loss; explore healthy coping strategies; self-care; receive support from others. The group meets the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Meetings are held in Conference Room 1222, located near the south entrance of the hospital at 201 E.
