TOPS will hold their regular meeting every Tuesday at Davis Memorial Christian Church located at 1500 W. Franklin Street in Taylorville. Weigh in starts at 10:00 a.m. with meeting to follow at 10:30 a.m. WE focus on making lifestyle changes that provide weight loss and better health.

The American Legion Post 905 in Kincaid is hosting Bingo every Tuesday and Thursday night starting at 7:00 p.m. Bring some friends! Food and drinks are available.

The Taylorville VFW is hosting a Queen of Hearts drawing every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. The drawing happens at 8:00 p.m., and food is available for purchase.

The Senior Center in Taylorville has regular pinochle games each week on Wednesday and Friday starting at 1:00 p.m. If you used to need a refresher course or a lesson, we have someone to help you with that! The Grief Support Group, at Taylorville Memorial Hospital (TMH) will meet every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the TMH Conference Room 1222. Please register by calling 217-707-5250.

Community members who have experienced the death of a family member or friend are invited to register for the GriefShare program held at Calvary Baptist Church, Taylorville. Sessions run from 6 pm to 8 pm in the Upper Room of Calvary Baptist Church at 930 Haner Avenue, Taylorville.  To register or for questions, call the church office 217-824-2324 or by email at calvary@cbctaylorville.com, There is no fee for attendance which will include a workbook and light refreshments.

Admissions will be $5.00 cover charge, $4.00 all quilters guild, $3.00 for 8 and under with a $5.00 entry fee per quilt. The class of Taylorville High School will hold its 75th birthday party and get together at 6p.m. October first at the KC hall, 401 South Walnut Street, Taylorville. Tickets are $20 each and checks are to be sent to Sue Ann Grant, 980 N 1400 East Road, Taylorville Il 62586. In addition to a catered dinner and prizes, there will be a live music and dancing. All class members are welcome to attend either or both events.
