The Senior Center in Taylorville has regular pinochle games each week on  Wednesday and Friday starting at 1:00 p.m.  If you used to play and need a refresher course or have never played and need a lesson or two, we have someone here to help you with just that!!!  This is a great way to spend an afternoon as well as meeting new friends. The annual Farmer’s Market will be every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to noon on the Taylorville Square. There will be early produce, bedding plants, fresh flowers, baked goods, and craft items. Check out DowntownTaylorville on Facebook for more information.

On Sunday, September 4th, First United Methodist Church welcomes Daryl Mosley. Daryl is a Two-Time Songwriter of the year; Grand Ole Opry veteran; former lead vocalist for the Farm Hands Bluegrass Quartet. We will be offering this special concert during the regularly scheduled worship services.

Sessions run from 6 pm to 8 pm in the Upper Room of Calvary Baptist Church at 930 Haner Avenue, Taylorville.  To register or for questions, call the church office 217-824-2324 or by email at calvary@cbctaylorville.com, There is no fee for attendance which will include a workbook and light refreshments.

painting skills following a step-by-step tutorial. Tickets include
