The Taylorville American Legion 73 is hosting a Queen of Hearts drawing every Thursday at 8:00 p.m. 

The Senior Center in Taylorville has regular pinochle games each week on  Wednesday and Friday starting at 1:00 p.m.  If you used to play and need a refresher course or have never played and need a lesson or two, we have someone here to help you with just that!!!  This is a great way to spend an afternoon as well as meeting new friends. Farmer’s Market

The annual Farmer’s Market will be every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to noon on the Taylorville Square. There will be early produce, bedding plants, fresh flowers, baked goods, and craft items. Check out DowntownTaylorville on Facebook for more information.

Assumption Farmers Market June 11-Oct 1 every other Saturday 9-11:30. Chestnut Street in Assumption.

Kids ages 6-12 years are invited to attend a cookie decorating workshop

On Sunday, September 4th, First United Methodist Church welcomes Daryl Mosley. Daryl is a Two-Time Songwriter of the year; Grand Ole Opry veteran; former lead vocalist for the Farm Hands Bluegrass Quartet. We will be offering this special concert during the regularly scheduled worship services.
Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy a faith-filled worship concert full of music, laughter, and inspiring stories.

St Mary’s Parish is holding a chicken dinner event. 1/2 chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, green bean & dessert – $12. Dog Days

Dog Days is coming to the Taylorville square. Activities for families and dogs.  Pet pageant; K-9 demo; Dog/pet vendors; dog ice-cream eating contest;window decorating for businesses on and around the square. More information can be found at Taylorville Dog Days on Facebook.

GriefShare

Community members who have experienced the death of a family member or friend are invited to register for the GriefShare program held at Calvary Baptist Church, Taylorville. Sessions run from 6 pm to 8 pm in the Upper Room of Calvary Baptist Church at 930 Haner Avenue, Taylorville.  To register or for questions, call the church office 217-824-2324 or by email at calvary@cbctaylorville.com, There is no fee for attendance which will include a workbook and light refreshments.

The Grief Support Group, at Taylorville Memorial Hospital (TMH) will meet every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the TMH Conference Room 1222. Please register by calling 217-707-5250.

Paint with us as we learn how to recreate “The Cactus” using basic
painting skills following a step-by-step tutorial. Tickets include
painting materials, food, and all the fun had in between.

The Pana High School Boys are having a fundraiser at Pana Bowling Alley 6 p.m. (silent Auction at 5:30 p.m.) (event is 18 and Over) Cost: $100 per team. Teams of 4-6 members.
