    Coffee Meet Up

    The Common Cup senior coffee at Edinburg Methodist Church meets every Wednesday of the month from 8 to 10 am. It is nondenominational—just free coffee and treats.     Smoke'n Aces Poker League Tournaments at Taylorville Moose

    Taylorville Moose Lodge will be hosting a Smoke’n Aces poker tournament. You must be 21 years old to play. There will be prizes, ways to earn bonus chips and more. This is a no cost four week league of Texas Hold’em poker tournament for more information visit Sign-in is at 6:30 p.m., and the game at 7:15 p.m.

    Be inspired to grow houseplants at “Success with Indoor Plants at Taylorville Public Library.” Andrew Holsinger, Extension horticulture educator, will detail how to create a healthy houseplant environment by selecting the right plants for your indoor space and discuss cultural requirements, maintenance practices, and critical ornamental aspects in growing interior plants. Registration is open until April 24. Please register at or call the Christian County Extension Office at 217-287-7246.     Healthy Kids Day

    9:00 am-11:00 am

    Healthy Kids Day at the Christian County YMCA. The event is free to the public, bike giveaway at 10:45 a.m. Various vendors focusing on the health and safety of children will be displayed at the event. The YMCA is located at 900 McAdam Drive in Taylorville. For more information, call the YMCA at 217-287-7271.
