Please remember that if you need a fishing license for your age bracket, you will need one for the event. The annual William Walter Catch a Fish Day is coming up, kids 12 and under are invited to attend and compete. It is free to attend, and bait will be supplied for all kids that fish. Even if kids do not have a pole, they hope to have enough poles to make sure every child in attendance can fish.The event will be at Kiwanis Park at Lake Taylorville and the fishing will start at 8 a.m. and continue until 10 a.m.

The event will feature; more than 35 vintage tractors; vintage engine exhibits; other antiques; various handmade goods offered by area crafters. Bargenta, Smoking Jayson’s, and Kups & Kones coffee and ice cream shop will provide food and beverages. Exhibits will be available throughout downtown Argenta and at Garriott’s Antiques, also in downtown Argenta. There is no charge to attend the event.
