Persimmon Festival

The Christian County Historical Society and Museum is hosting the Persimmon Bake-off. There will be two divisions; Adults; twelve and under. The categories being judged are; cookies; bread; most creative. Baked goods must be prepared within 24 hours of the exhibit and please bring the recipe. The judging for the bake-off will be at 1 p.m. Persimmon cookbooks and pulp will be for sale in the museum. State quilt raffle drawing will be at 2 p.m. Jean Callan’s famous BBQ sandwich meal will be sold for $8.
