Vivian Marie Lester

Vivian Marie Lester, 75, of Taylorville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.

Vivian was born on May 26, 1947, in Decatur, Ill., the daughter of Edward Bauer Hall and Gwendolynn Francis (Plunkett) Hall.

She loved the Chicago Cubs and always lived life to the fullest.

Vivian is survived by her three children: Tom Lester and wife Dawnita of Decatur, Ill.; two daughters: Rachelle McKay of Taylorville, Ill., and Kathi Maynard of Decatur, Ill., and bonus daughter: Jessica Jenkins of Alexandria, Va.; two sisters: Doris Walker and Marge Leevey both of Decatur, Ill.; five grandchildren and ten great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Edward and Richard; two sisters: Bert and Cathy.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday May 2, 2023 at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home with visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2023 at the funeral home.

The family requests that Cub and Cardinal attire be worn for the visitation and the funeral service. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Decatur, Ill.
