WITT — The first of the year David Cearlock of Witt started remodeling the Presbyterian Church in Witt as an Outreach Center for the community. This is a charitable and religious organization called “These Three”; Faith, Hope & Charity” and is located at 203 North 3 St., Witt, Ill.
Cearlock said that they are open as needed while they are doing some remodeling. However, anyone can schedule a drop-off by sending a Facebook message and they will meet you at the facility. If someone reside in Witt and have items to donate, it is possible to ask for a pickup at your home. They are now collecting clothing, shoes, clothes racks, laundry hampers, baskets and shoe racks.
Cearlock stated that interested people can help the cause! It’s simple, download the ShopRaise mobile or desktop app, and every time you make a purchase at a participating retailer (over 1,000 retailers) a percentage will support the Outreach Center. Just click to download and start supporting them with every purchase.
Cearlock is extremely grateful for the support they have received from the entire community. They are deeply appreciative to each and every one who has generously donated clothing and shoes thus far.
In March, Briella Osborn, Dazzling Beauties Princess donated clothing items to the Outreach Center. Cearlock said that no donation is too small and every donation is appreciated.
Also, the Witt Food Pantry provides emergency food boxes outside of their normal monthly distribution. If you or someone you know is in need, you can send a message and the Outreach Center will work with the food pantry to arrange a box for you.
Cearlock mentioned that if you frequent Facebook on the These Three site, you will see a posting for the “Community Spotlight”. They are celebrating incredible stories of hope and resilience with the community! If you have witnessed or experienced a moment of kindness, take a minute to share your story in the comments section. Like, comment, and share the feeds with positivity, to inspire one another and spread the love!
