Deborah Ann Bergmann
July 29, 1954 — December 22, 2025
Mrs. Deborah Ann Bergmann, 71, of Edinburg, IL passed from this life peacefully, at 10:50 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2025, at home on the farm, in rural Edinburg, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Saint Ann, MO on July 29, 1954, the daughter of Seebert George and Virginia (Noonan) Suerig.
Deborah married Lawrence Eugene Coghlan, Jr. in Missouri in 1973 and he preceded her in death on May 12, 2005. She later married Robert James Bergmann, Jr in Kincaid in 2010 and he preceded her in death March 17, 2020.
Mrs. Bergmann retired after 20 years at Taylorville Memorial Hospital as a CNA. She enjoyed: planning parties, dancing, sewing, quilting with her sister, canning especially her homemade pickles, cooking, singing, being on the farm, and her pig Wilbur. She truly cherished being a mom and grandma, holidays and family gatherings, and the time she was able to spend with her family and friends.
Surviving are: her sons Larry (Hazel Lacy) Coghlan, III of Bulpitt, IL John (Sherri) Coghlan of Taylorville, IL George (Tina) Coghlan of rural Edinburg, IL James Coghlan of Tovey, IL grandchildren Michael, Claudia, Carly, and Mark Coghlan, Nick Coghlan, Peyton, Steve (Jade) Anders, Alexis (J.J.) Witty, Erica (Justin) Witty, Gauge, Colton, Remington, and Isaiah, great-grandchildren Lilly, Oliver, Rylon, Gianna, Caylob (Taylor) Anders, Waylon, Cayden, Trenton, Colton, Izzy, Anaiah, Justin, Bailee, Liam, Summer Anders, Caylee Anders, her beloved sister Nancy (Mike) Turner of Ellisville, MO., sisters-in-law Mamie, Kay, and Addelle Suerig many nieces and nephews and her two dogs Snookie and Rascal.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, three brothers, one sister and two husbands Lawrence E. Coghlan Jr. and Robert J. Bergmann, Jr. two brothers-in-law Dean Coghlan and Bill Richardson.
Visitation for Mrs. Deborah Ann Bergmann will be held from 5 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, January 2, 2025, at Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid, IL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday January 3rd at Masterson’s with burial following at Thomas Anderson Cemetery, North of Palmer, IL.
A further celebration of Deborah’s life and fellowship funeral meal will continue at Coghlan’s Hideout in Bulpitt after her burial on Saturday.
