Central A & M FFA members Charleigh Minott, Noah Hebert, Mabry Metzger, Lylah Minott, and Avery Canaday traveled to Heartland Community College in Normal on Saturday, Dec. 6, for the Illinois State FFA Dairy Foods Career Development Event. During this competition members began with a team marketing problem and then were given the challenge of identifying cheeses, determining the difference between real and artificial dairy products, evaluating milks for content defects, completing a CMT (California Mastitis Test) and taking a test over dairy products and manufacturing knowledge.

On Saturday, Dec. 6, Central A & M FFA members Brookelyn Jackson, Adyson Lowrance, Ty Burgener and Huck Lowrance participated in the Illinois State FFA Agronomy CDE held at Illinois State University in Normal. These four members advanced on from the section competition and were ready to compete in this contest. Members had the challenge of correctly identifying 25 weeds, 25 crop plants and seeds, 20 pieces of equipment/machinery, one placing class of soybeans, one placing class of alfalfa hay and were tested on their knowledge of soil.
