PANA — On January 30, Sgt. Andrew Voorhees and Sgt. Anthony Telford had the pleasure of visiting Sacred Heart School in Pana to wrap up Catholic Schools Week with a K-9 demonstration
During the visit, students learned about the daily operations of K-9 Motley, including how he:
Alerts to narcotics
Tracks subjects on foot
Locates lost persons
Finds articles and evidence
Conducts building searches
Sgt. Telford also suited up in a bite suit to demonstrate K-9 apprehension and bite work, giving students a safe and educational look at how K-9 teams operate in real-world situations.
