ILLINOIS — Congresswoman Mary Miller (R-15th) emailed a survey to Christian County residents asking which of five following issues mattered most to them and their families.
Voters were invited to check boxes on Election Integrity, Mass Deportations and Border Security, Affordability and Eliminating Waste Fraud, or Abuse.
Miller said in the email, “I want to hear directly from you.”
But constituents noted that checking a box without a place to comment might lead to misinterpretations about what their concerns about the issues – like Mass Deportations – were.
They also noticed that Miller has hardly had any Town Hall meetings in any of the counties she represents, which would also allow voters to speak directly to her.
To help rectify this lack of communication, a group of volunteers are organizing an event in Quincy on Saturday, February 28 from noon to 2 p.m.. This event is for constituents to drop off letters or bring signs that help them answer the questions Miller asked.
Residents of Christian County are invited to join them on Saturday, February 28. This event is not sponsored or hosted by the Office of Congresswoman Mary Miller.
More details will be announced soon.
